Why we do Vlogs

When I started Studio 55 in 1995 it was not because the world needed another creative agency. There were thousands of those.

It was because the world needed an agency with integrity.

Okay new vlog let’s go!

And what are we calling this?

Straight out of the gate is called ‘we promise not to piss you off’.

If you’ve worked with us, or heard of us, then you will know that our strategy in business, and in life generally, has always been to give people what they need.

That also means we don’t give people what they don’t need right?

And it DEFINITELY means don’t give people what they don’t want.

So, with that in mind it stands to reason that we don’t send spam emails… you know, the ones with clickbait headlines. They throw you into a maze of long scrolling text, useless content, endless links which throw you into more long scrolling text, more useless content, none of it has a message.

I don’t personally, but I know that my trash emails inbox does.

Yours and everybody else’s.

And the worst thing about this spam is it just keeps coming. It is a complete waste of everyone’s time. It drives me mad, and I know I am not alone.

The TRUTH is this: In the real world, successful people are busy.

My clients are busy.

My team are busy. Damn right. See, no time for spam.

I am busy.

You are busy.

There is no way I am going to inflict more of this timewasting crap onto you.

Then we also needed to consider the issue of quality.

I remember being at an event once and the speaker said “If am here taking your time, I damn well better have something”. I agree with that one completely. There is a glut of information out there now… so many ebooks, podcasts, articles, posts. In most cases though, the creators of this content are not qualified. Just because they are publishing something doesn’t mean it’s good. They’re not experts and so their content has no value.

Yes, there may be something worthwhile in it somewhere, but this same speaker also summed it up really well when he said “you can scavenge through a garbage can and you may find a sandwich but I don’t recommend the method”.

So that then begs the question, what qualifies me to speak to you today? What qualifies me to take your time?

You say that like I have an option…
